These CESM output files represent the basis for producing the figures shown in Thiery, W., Visser, A.J., Fischer, E.M., Hauser, M., Hirsch, A.L., Lawrence, D.M., Lejeune, Q., Davin, E.L., Seneviratne, S.I., Warming of hot extremes alleviated by expanding irrigation. In particular, the files serve as input for the analysis and plotting scripts available on the through the github repository of the Department of Hydrology and Hydraulic Engineering at VUB (https://github.com/VUB-HYDR/2019_Thiery_etal_NatComm). Together, data files and scripts allow to reproduce all figures except fig. 1, S2 and S3 of the aforementioned publication. The files are postprocessed CESM output. Scripts used to run CESM are available in the subdirectory run_cesm of the github repository, whereas scripts used to postprocess the raw CESM output are available in the subdirectory cesm_postprocessing.<br>
本批社区地球系统模型(Community Earth System Model,CESM)输出文件是制作Thiery W.、Visser A.J.、Fischer E.M.、Hauser M.、Hirsch A.L.、Lawrence D.M.、Lejeune Q.、Davin E.L.、Seneviratne S.I.发表的论文《极端高温增温可通过扩大灌溉缓解》中所用全部图表的基础数据。具体而言,这批文件可作为分析与绘图脚本的输入数据,相关脚本可通过布鲁塞尔自由大学(Vrije Universiteit Brussel, VUB)水文与水利工程系的GitHub仓库获取,仓库链接为https://github.com/VUB-HYDR/2019_Thiery_etal_NatComm。结合本批数据文件与配套脚本,可复现上述论文中除图1、补充材料图S2与S3之外的所有图表。本次提供的文件均为经过后处理的CESM输出数据。用于运行CESM的脚本可在该GitHub仓库的run_cesm子目录中获取,而用于对原始CESM输出数据进行后处理的脚本则存放于cesm_postprocessing子目录中。
