Whole genome sequencing data of wheat and wheat relative accessions

Old wheat landraces exhibit introgressions that are also found in modern wheat varieties. With the aim of identifying their potential origin, we sequenced old wheat landraces and wheat relatives from the Federal Ex Situ Gene Bank in Gatersleben, Germany. We sequenced 4 independent plants for each genebank accession since genebank accessions, especially old landraces and collected accessions, are often not as homogeneous as modern cultivars.
