The nitrogen-dependent effect of LOHN1 knockout on gene expression at the primary root tip in Arabidopsis

The LOHN1 gene (AT1G65295) encodes a peptide induced at the primary root tip under high-nitrogen conditions. LOHN1 peptide acts as a negative regulator of auxin-induced lateral root (LR) formation in Arabidopsis thaliana. RNA-Seq analysis was conducted using wild-type (Col-0) and LOHN1-knockout (LOHN1-KO) plants grown vertically on the Murashige-Skoog (MS) medium supplemented with 1% sucrose, 0.5% gellan gum, and either 0.3 mM or 30 mM nitrogen.
