The base file was manufactured by TNO. The base stock is actually a clay and peat map of the province of South Holland. This gives an indication of the settler sensitivity of the soil of Zuid-Holland. Poor soil with more than 4 meters of peat in the top 5 meters of the clay and peat package is extremely sensitive. Poor soil with between 0.5 and 4 meters peat in the top 5 meters of the clay and peat package is very sensitive. Poor soil with less than 0.5 meters peat in the top 5 meters of the clay and peat package is deposit sensitive. Good soil with less than 5 meters contiguous clay and peat within 8 meters below ground level is less sensitive to settling. The set sensitivity of this unit varies greatly, because within this unit there may still be areas that do not meet the bad ground criterion. The file “Sensitivity” has been converted to the file “carrying force”. A column, “carrying force” has been added. In this column it is indicated whether the capacity to pay; ‘good’, ‘bad’ or ‘not optimal’. These maps are part of the bottom vision and are indicative maps. When zooming in on a specific area or question, it is always necessary to check whether further information is available.
