The Forsa Bus is conducted by the forsa survey institute. As part of the representative survey, around 500 eligible voters are interviewed by telephone every day in order to ascertain the population´s current attitudes to various political and social issues. The years from 1991 onwards are available from GESIS as an annual cumulation. The data sets include parts from multi-topic surveys, whereby one focus of the collection is the survey of political preference, both for candidates and for parties, as well as voting behavior in past elections. Chancellor preference for Olaf Scholz, Annalena Baerbock, Robert Habeck, Friedrich Merz, Markus Söder oder Hendrik Wüst; economic expectations for Germany; most competent party to solve the problems in the Federal Republic; voting behavior in the last federal and state elections; party preference at federal and state level (Sunday poll). Demography: Sex; age (year of birth); marital status; living with a partner; employment; group membership if not fully employed; education; occupational status and characteristics; household size; number of children in the household under 18; net household income; religious denomination; trade union member in the household. Additionally coded were: Federal state; administrative district (anonymized); rural district (anonymized); city size (size category of political municipality); survey area west/east; interview date (year, month, day); day of the week of the interview; survey period (week); sample: selection frame (landline, mobile); weighting factors.
