Whether the integration of digital technology and the real economy affects the new momentum of economic development has become an urgent theoretical issue to accelerate the transformation of the economic growth mode. This paper applies the entropy weight method and the coupling coordination degree method to test this impact. The results of the study find that the integration of digital technology and the real economy significantly promotes the new dynamics of economic growth in terms of aggregate and direct effects, but has a siphoning effect on the periphery in terms of indirect effects; this result is still robust after the robustness test of the alternative variables, alternative weights, alternative estimation methods using SP-GLS and SP-GMM, and endogeneity test using GS-2SLS. In addition, this paper examines the intergroup heterogeneity among the four major regions and the intergroup heterogeneity at different stages of the integration of the digital economy and the real economy, and concludes that the transformation of new kinetic energy of economic development is more obvious in regions where digital technology is deeply integrated with the real economy, and that there is still a potential for the economic development of regions where digital technology is integrated with the real economy.
