资源简介:
Despite their limitations, embryoid bodies can mimic early embryonic development stages. Our previous results showed that hypoxia induces angiogenesis in this model, increasing the number of endothelial cells. This observation is concomitant with a reduction of the percentage of endothelial cells in S-phase. Our hypothesis is that the increase in the number of endothelial cells is due to a higher rate of differentiation of progenitor cells. Overall design: Embryoid bodies were generated from murine stem cells and differentiated at two distinct time points: 1) 8 days either in complete normoxia or with a final 16-hour pulse of hypoxia, and 2) 10 days either in complete normoxia or with a hypoxic exposure during the last 48 hours.
