Historical information about the biodiversity of the "Askania-Nova" nature reserve (Kherson region, Ukraine)

The dataset includes information on the records of living organisms (animals and plants) on the territory of the biosphere reserve "Askania-Nova" which was founded in 1889 and obtained its legal status in 1919 in the Kherson region (Ukraine). The reserve and peculiarities of its fauna and flora are mentioned in scientific works of well-known Ukrainian and German biologists, published at different times. We aim to include the full range of published records in this dataset so it will therefore expand over time. In 2022, the reserve appeared under temporary occupation by Russian army, so the creation of the dataset aims to preserve the maximum amount of information about the reserve, which will be a reference point in the future to assess the changes caused by the Russian military invasion.本数据集收录了位于乌克兰赫尔松地区的生物圈保护区阿斯卡尼亚-诺瓦（Askania-Nova）境内的动植物活体记录信息。该保护区始建于1889年，并于1919年获得合法地位。该保护区及其独特的动植物区系，曾被不同时期出版的知名乌克兰与德国生物学家的科研著作所提及。本数据集旨在收录全部已公开的相关记录，因此其内容将随时间推移不断丰富完善。 2022年，该保护区被俄罗斯军队临时占领。因此，本数据集的构建旨在最大程度留存该保护区的相关信息，以供未来评估俄罗斯军事入侵所造成的生态变化时作为参考基准。
