Metaphorical conceptualization of gender in stand-up comedy

This project is funded by the National Science Centre (Poland) research grant no. 2022/45/N/HS2/01394. The uploaded dataset is a list of Polish stand-up comedy shows published in 2018-2022 which served as a basis for metaphor identification process in the subsequent stages of the project. It includes information such as links to the original materials, publication date, shows duration, and views per million (as of October 2023). 17 shows are performed by male comedians while 13 are performed by women. Due to the majority of comedians being male, all shows by female comedians from 2018-2022 were included in the study. For male comedians, the requirements included at least 500k views. All shows had to be longer than 30 minutes.
