Our research explores how HS transitions LeV-HKB mycovirus infections in Lentinula edodes from cryptic to symptomatic. We investigated the molecular mechanisms involved, focusing on the role of milRNA led-milR-21 in these interactions. This research reveals that heat stress increases LeV-HKB expression, and LeV-HKB interferes with led-milR-21 synthesis through the RNAi pathway, decreasing heat tolerance and resistance to Trichoderma viride in L. edodes reducing heat resistance by targeting genes like LE01Gene01783.
