PAGER - Prompt Assessment of Global Earthquakes for Response

PAGER (Prompt Assessment of Global Earthquakes for Response) is an automated system that estimates the impact of significant earthquakes around the world, informing emergency responders, government and aid agencies, and the media of the scope of the potential disaster. PAGER rapidly assesses earthquake impacts by comparing the population exposed to each estimated shaking intensity level with models of economic and fatality losses based on past earthquakes in each country or region of the world. PAGER sends out alerts based on the estimated range of fatalities and economic losses.PAGER（Prompt Assessment of Global Earthquakes for Response）是一套自动化地震影响评估系统，可对全球范围内的重大地震开展快速影响研判，为应急响应人员、政府部门、援助机构及媒体提供潜在灾害的规模信息。该系统通过将各估算地震震动强度等级下的受影响人口，与基于全球各国或地区过往地震数据构建的经济损失与人员伤亡模型进行比对，快速完成地震影响评估。PAGER会根据估算得到的人员伤亡与经济损失区间发布预警信息。
