EAMO-BBMO time-series: contextual and environmental data

This repository contains contextual and environmental data associated with samples from two coastal microbial time-series observatories located at contrasting latitudes: the Equatorial Atlantic Microbial Observatory (EAMO, 6°S) and the Blanes Bay Microbial Observatory (BBMO, 41°N, Mediterranean Sea). Sampling took place monthly from April 2013 to August 2016, with surface seawater measurements collected alongside eDNA metabarcoding samples.This repository includes: A comma-separated values file (eamo-bbmo_env-diversity.csv) containing the contextual and environmental data from the EAMO–BBMO time-series. This file contains information such as date, geographic position, season, and a selection of biological, physico-chemical and climatic parameters, as well as the computed alpha-diversity metrics. A README file (eamo-bbmo_README.csv) explaining the meaning and units of each column name in the environmental dataset.
