Vahti guide 2008/8 Information security vocabulary of central government

This is the fourth version of the Government Information Security Management Group (VAHTI) security vocabulary. Compared to the previous publication (VAHTI 4/2003), the vocabulary has expanded by over a quarter: there are now more than 1,250 defined terms. There are almost a third of completely new or redesigned terms in the vocabulary, which shows a continuous, rapid change in the IT sector and related activities, phenomena and threats. New material in the vocabulary can be found in the following areas in particular: — management of identities and powers of use — the general concepts of information security and security management in general — attacks and prevention techniques.
