资源简介:
This collection of note books was compiled by Henry Selkirk (1857-1930), a draftsman and Research Officer in the Department of Lands, who was first appointed to the Service in 1877. The note books give accounts of the arrival of certain people in New South Wales. They appear to have been compiled from land applications 1798-1844. There are short notes covering town and village surveys (1829-66) in such places as Booroway; Bungonia; Denman; Double Bay; Dubbo; Emu Plains; Falconer; Goulburn; Muscle Brook; Sutton Forest; Wagga Wagga and Wingham. Selkirk also compiled some accounts of surveyors who worked in the early 1840s. He also compiled a folder of extracts he considered to be of historical note covering the years 1831-34.(4/7646). 1 vol. Note: This description is extracted from Concise Guide to the State Archives of New South Wales, 3rd Edition 2000.
