To better understand the multiple interacting molecular mechanisms that are altered during BPS exposure, global transcriptome sequencing (RNA-Seq) was performed in embryonic fish to quantify expression levels of transcripts with a high sensitivity and broad genome coverage after BPS treatment19. To better understand sensitivities of fish to BPS toxicity and the mechanisms that regulate expression of transcripts altered by BPS exposure, we evaluated morphological and transcriptional effects in using environmentally relevant concentrations.
