Effects of auriculotherapy in the treatment of nausea and vomiting: a systematic review

ABSTRACT Objectives: to identify the effectiveness of auriculotherapy in the treatment of nausea and vomiting through a systematic review of the scientific literature. Methods: it was performed a systematic review of the literature making use of the following data basis: The Scopus, PubMed, CINAHL (Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature), Web of Science, LILACS and Cochrane databases were used. Articles from complete research from randomized controlled clinical trials that describe using auriculotherapy in nausea and vomiting treatment were selected, without restriction of date or language. Results: eleven articles were selected for analysis. The majority approached the population in surgical situations, followed by patients undergoing chemotherapy and pregnant women. As for results, 81% (n=8) of the articles reported that nausea and vomiting were lower in incidence and/or intensity in the intervention group. Conclusions: the review provided relevant data on the effects of auriculotherapy in nausea and vomiting treatment, with a decrease in the intensity and frequency of these symptoms in different populations.摘要 研究目的：通过对科学文献开展系统综述，明确耳穴疗法（auriculotherapy）用于恶心呕吐治疗的有效性。研究方法：本研究采用系统文献综述方法，检索使用以下数据库：Scopus、PubMed、CINAHL（护理及相关健康文献累积索引，Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature）、Web of Science、LILACS及Cochrane数据库。纳入描述耳穴疗法应用于恶心呕吐治疗的随机对照临床试验完整研究文献，无发表时间与语言限制。结果：共纳入11篇文献进行分析。其中多数研究针对手术人群，其次为化疗患者与孕妇。就研究结果而言，81%（n=8）的文献报告干预组的恶心呕吐发生率及/或严重程度均更低。结论：本综述为耳穴疗法在恶心呕吐治疗中的应用效果提供了相关数据，证实不同人群的此类症状严重程度与发作频率均有所降低。
