Mitogenomes of the genus Iguana

The goal of this project is to generate full mitochondrial genomes from across the Iguana genus. Through these generated mitogenomes the project aims to better understand intraspecific genetic diversity within Iguana delicatissima, especially interesting from a conservation perspective. We also will analyse a large dataset of samples from across the Iguana iguana species complex range, to better understand (proposed) taxonomy, biogeography among others.
