Halisarca dujardini (Chondrillida) is a marine demosponge very distantly related to Amphimedon queenslandica (Haplosclerida). Halisarca embryonic development, metamorphosis and regeneration are well described at morphological level, but sequence resources have been lacking. Here we report transcriptome RNA-Seq datasets aimed to provide resources for transcriptome assembly and annotation of future genome assembly.
