16S rRNA sequencing of gut microbiota from metformin treated healthy mice. mouse metagenome

In recent years, it was found that metformin was useful for treatment of various human diseases like diabetes and cancer. Although a lot of researches were focus on the mechanism of metformin, few were about gut microbiome. In this study, we treated healthy mice with metformin for 30 days, and acquired 46 significantly changed gut microbes by using 16S rRNA-based microbiome profiling technique.
