Abstract. Nonlinear controllers for voltage source AC-DC and DC-DC boost converters are presented. The control algorithm is based on a feedback linearizing concept and developed using a two time-scale separation method on the base of reasonable simplifying assumptions for resulting locally stable error dynamics. Decupling vector control is designed first to guarantee that reactive component of the line current vector exponentially decays to zero. As result equivalent voltage dynamics for both converters is the same. Nonlinear voltage controller has typical cascaded structure and provides partial linearization of the resulting voltage dynamics. Simulation and experimental results proof the rightness of the theoretical findings.Keywords \u2013 bi\u2011directional power converter, AC-DC and DC-DC boost converters, vector control, feedback linearization.
