Supplementary data for "Optimising a system whose adaptive capacity is fixed elsewhere: digitalisation and the forage genetic base of Brazilian pasture-based livestock systems"

Processed secondary data, search logs and scripts underlying the tables and figures of a manuscript submitted to Agricultural Systems (VSI "Wise agricultural systems"). Data S1: indicators of the Brazilian Agricultural Census 2017 (IBGE SIDRA tables 6780, 6895, 6911 and 6962) by farm-size stratum, with the extraction script and the four complete API queries. Data S2: the federal seed-field registry (MAPA SIGEF, open data CC-BY, snapshot of 1 September 2026) cleaned by species and cultivar under rules R1-R7 and aggregated by cultivar and season, nationally and by state, with the cleaning script, the cleaning log, the script that builds the wide tables and the validation against published tables; the registry measures inscribed seed-field area, not pasture area, and the series is indexed by the first year of the registered season rather than by the physical sowing date. Data S3: the three Scopus searches of 8 September 2026 with the strings as run, the counts and the screening decision for every document, plus the Crossref query log re-executed on 16 September 2026 with the 26 query URLs and every record retrieved with its rank. Data S4: the Matplotlib script that draws Figure 1 and the graphical abstract. Raw inputs are public and are identified by URL and SHA-256 in the READMEs; the SIGEF portal serves a live database, so the archived hash identifies and verifies that input rather than recovering it. No personal data.
