Whole genome sequencing-based detection of extensively drug-resistant tuberculosis: The first report from Ethiopia

Whole-genome sequencing of Mycobacterium tuberculosis isolates from Ethiopia, collected as part of routine drug resistance surveillance, was performed to characterize mutations and lineages associated with XDR and pre-XDR tuberculosis. Illumina NextSeq 500/550 was used for sequencing.
