Rocking Horse Winner is a 60 minute, one act chamber opera, adapted, with permission from the D.H.Lawrence Estate, from the short story The Rocking Horse Winner by D. H. Lawrence. The opera was conceived and composed by Gareth Williams, and the libretto was written by Anna Chatterton. The work was co-commissioned by Scottish Opera and Tapestry Opera, and premiered by Tapestry Opera in Toronto in 2016. The work has also been produced at Saratoga Opera Festival in New York 2018, and is scheduled to be re-staged in Toronto, in 2020. This dataset is held in the Edinburgh DataVault, directly accessible only to authorised University of Edinburgh users.
