Second modernisation of the Jesenice High Schools

Students of the Jesenice Gymnasium originate from Jesenice and its surroundings, whose socio-economic development in the past was mainly defined by the development of Jesenice Ironworks. In the last ten years, the area has been faced with a difficult iron crisis, high unemployment. The values of young people are spread between the value system of traditional industrial society and the decaying iron industry on the one hand, and the impact of post-industrial modernisation of the wider environment on the other. The aim of the research paper was to study the responses of high school pupils of Jesenice High School, who in 2001 are finishing school in high school, to social and living conditions from the point of view of their personal value system. The authors were particularly interested in how much the processes of the second modernisation had already reached the Jesenice High Schools.耶塞尼采文理中学（Jesenice Gymnasium）的生源均来自耶塞尼采市及其周边区域，该区域过往的社会经济发展主要依托耶塞尼采铁厂的发展。近十年来，该地区深陷严峻的钢铁产业危机，失业率居高不下。当代年轻人的价值观一方面徘徊于传统工业社会与日渐式微的钢铁产业的价值体系之中，另一方面又受到更广泛区域后工业化现代化进程的影响。本研究旨在从个人价值体系的视角，探究2001届即将完成高中学业的耶塞尼采文理中学学生对当地社会与生活状况的态度与回应。研究团队尤为关注第二次现代化进程已在多大程度上渗透至耶塞尼采文理中学。
