Gut microbiome dynamics during regeneration of the tropical sea cucumber Stichopus monotuberculatus

This study explores the gut microbiome dynamics during the regeneration process of the tropical sea cucumber Stichopus monotuberculatus under natural conditions. Using 16S rRNA gene sequencing, we analyzed microbial community composition and diversity in the regenerating gut, as well as in surrounding seawater and sediment samples. The integration of gut and environmental microbiome data provides comprehensive insights into the ecological processes driving microbial assembly during regeneration and the interplay between host-associated and environmental microbial communities. This dataset supports broader investigations into host-microbe-environment interactions in marine ecosystems.
