Declared bankruptcies; SMEs, business-economy; business characteristics

This table contains figures on the number of bankruptcies in small and medium-sized enterprises pronounced by judges in the Netherlands and the average business age at the time of bankruptcy. The data can be broken down by company size, company age and growth category. This table has been developed in the context of the State of SMEs. Data available: from the first quarter of 2011. Status of the figures: The results of the last quarter are provisional. Changes as of 12 January 2024: Figures from the fourth quarter of 2023 have been added and the figures for the previous quarter may have been revised. Due to new insights, the results have been revised as of 2011 1st quarter and a large part of the figures (lightly) have been corrected. When will there be new figures?
