E. ampelina mainly infects young tissues and produces spot lesions, such as tendrils, rachises, leaves, petioles, stems and berries of the grapevineThe mechanisms underlying its pathogenicity still poorly understood, although this pathogen is important for grape production. Transcriptome analyses of Elsinoë ampelina in infected grape tissues will provide more information to understand the grape- E. ampelina interaction.
