Share of patent litigations in the U.S. decided by jury 1998-2017

The share of patent litigation cases decided by jury in the United States has increased over the last two decades, with 77 percent of cases being decided by jury in the period between 2013 and 2017. For the period between 1998 and 2002, this figure stood at 42 percent.
