Interethnic Godparenthood in Ukraine, 2022 December
收藏资源简介:
The study conducts quantitative research carried out by Kyiv International Institute of Sociology to answer its questions on the practice of ritual kinship in Ukraine and, in particular, interethnic ritual kinship. Quantitative questions were included in an omnibus survey of 2,000 residents over eighteen years of age living in all regions of Ukraine including Crimea and parts of Luhansk and Donetsk not controlled by the Ukraine government. The set of quantitative questions were: How many kum or kuma do you have? Do you have a kum or kuma to whom you are not also related by blood (agnatic kin) or marriage (affinal kin)? Do you have a kum or kuma from an ethnicity other than your own? and How important are kumy in your everyday life? The surveys used the method of computer-assisted telephone interviews (CaTI) based on a random sample of mobile telephone numbers (with random generation of telephone numbers and subsequent statistical weighing). Variations by religion and nationality, region, and age are analyzed.
