Comparative molecular fecal microbiota analysis of bobcats (Lynx rufus) and domestic cats (Felis catus)

To explore and describe fecal microbiota of captive and wild bobcats using next-generation sequencing of the V4 region of the bacterial 16S rRNA gene, and compare the results to that of domestic cats. The collected data may allow for better understanding of the biology and can aid in the captive management of bobcats.
