The Polymorphemic Words of the Toba Batak Language

These are 527 complex (polymorphemic) words of Toba Batak. These words are in 535 sentences of 1845 clauses. Toba Batak builds ideas in two main word classes, they are (1) content words; Noun, Verb, and Adjective, and (2) function words; auxiliary, particle, modal, etc. The polymorphemic words were mainly derived from the content words (lexeme). The polymorphemic words are mainly formed by the morphological process of (1) derivational; nominalization and verbalization, and (2) inflectional; genitive case marking, verb aspects, clause moods, and voices. The list of these 527 polymophemic words exposed the existences of the grammatical morphemes (affixes) in the language.
