资源简介:
Ceratocystis lukuohia is one of two fungal pathogens that causes Rapid ‘Ōhi‘a Death (ROD) in Hawaii. This data release includes metadata and tabular data that documents the persistence of C. lukuohia in ‘ōhi‘a trees (Metrosideros polymorpha) that have died from the disease. Additionally, the data release documents the presence of active ambrosia beetle (Curculionidae, Xyleborini) galleries in these trees. Trees included in the study were confirmed to have died from ROD at different points in time during 2014 - 2019. During 2020 - 2021, 119 of these trees were relocated and 1) wood tissues were sampled for viable C. lukuohia, and 2) bark surface was surveyed for evidence of active beetle galleries. At the end of the study, 10 of these trees were felled and their boles assessed for viable C. lukuohia and beetle activity. These data are represented in two files: one file describes the 119 trees sampled across the landscape and the second file describes data associated with the trees that were felled and examined.
