This study presents a comprehensive genome-wide association study (GWAS) on primary spontaneous pneumothorax (PSP) in a Han Chinese population, encompassing three stages: an initial discovery phase (646 cases & 1072 controls) followed by two replication phases (1577 cases & 2766 controls). The study utilizes high-throughput SNP genotyping, whole-genome imputation, and rigorous statistical analyses to identify genetic variants associated with PSP.
