Fair Trials in the Kyrgyz Republic - Perceptions among Justice Officials and the Public

Data from 165 surveys on fair trial standards conducted from April to July, 2017, among justice officials and members of the public in the Kyrgyz Republic. The data reveals respondents' perceptions of the justice system's adherence to fair trial standards (both international and as a matter of domestic law) and personal experiences with shortcomings or failures in adherence to those standards. Data primarily comes from the Chui region (esp. the capital city, Bishkek). Roughly 50% measures general public opinion and the other 50% measures perceptions among members of the justice system (judges, lawyers, police, legal academics, etc.).
