Vascular plants of Colombia

The distribution records for all vascular plants of Colombia were downloaded from the SiB Colombia open national biodiversity data network and GBIF in February 2020. In order to mitigate some of the known limitations of species occurrence data, names were checked against the Plants of the World online (POWO) using the Python interface to Kew data (PyKew: https://pypi.org/project/pykew/), and geographic coordinates were cleaned using CoordinateCleaner in R.See supplement to "Colombia’s bioregions as a source of useful plants" (File S1) for details.
