GENACL Dataset Metadata Record

This metadata record describes the structure, scope, and methodology of the GENACL dataset. The GENACL database includes selected genetic polymorphisms associated with inflammation, extracellular matrix regulation, connective tissue physiology, and musculoskeletal injury risk. The GENACL database is a result of analyses conducted as part of the project: "The influence of genetic variability of pro- and anti-inflammatory cytokines on the risk of knee ligament injury in elite athletes" funded by the National Science Centre, Poland. This project integrates molecular and injury-related variables to support interdisciplinary research in sports genomics, musculoskeletal medicine, and injury prevention. The dataset has been designed in accordance with FAIR data principles to facilitate future reproducibility, interoperability, and secondary analyses.
