资源简介:
The broad geological province, as defined by government geology mapping is the Greenvale Province. This province, which includes the Balcooma Metavolcanic Group (BMG), extends north-northeasterly for about 120 kilometres and is about 60 kilometres wide. According to Fergusson et al (2013), the Greenvale Province was considered a sub-province of early Palaeozoic rocks within the largely Palaeo-Mesoproterozoic Georgetown Inlier of the Etheridge Province but is now considered a discrete province, the northern outcropping portion of the Thomson Fold Belt( Figure 3), bound to the west by the Lynd Mylonite Zone, which separates it from the older Etheridge Province rocks, and to the east by the Halls Reward, Burdekin River and Teddy Mount faults which separate it from rocks of the younger Broken River Province.
