CORINE Land Cover cover and land use — Local component

The CLC layers of the local component complement the Pan-European component data and provide more detailed information on the land cover and its use. The local component covers areas that are subject to specific environmental pressures and problems (hotspots). Local component products are based on very high-resolution satellite images (2.5 x 2.5 m) along with other available high- and medium-resolution data of the pan-European area. The nomenclature for individual CLC layers of the local component is separately defined and arranged into 4 levels. Within the territory of the Republic of Croatia, the Urban Atlas 2012 layer includes 27 classes, a layer of Drvoredi and tree groups in urban areas 2012 has only 1 class, the layer Green elements in areas adjacent to inland surface water 2012 contains 4 classes, the layer of Areas adjacent to land surface water 2012 contains 61 classes (with an additional 6 classes on the third level) of a total of 87 classes, and the layer Selected, grassland rich, Natura 2000 2012 ecological network areas has 44 out of 62 classes.
