Amphioxus is exposed to 2 antibiotic treatments: chloramphenicol, and chloramphenicol + ampicillin. Adult amphioxus digestive tract is separated after 0, 6, 12, and 24 hours, 2 and 4 days. Bacterial DNA is extracted, and bacterial 16S rRNA genes of V1-V3 region are amplified. The amplicons are sequenced by 454 GS-FLX platform.
