1996 - 2013, North Western Inshore Fisheries and Conservation Authority (NWIFCA) Mussel Surveys

The NWIFCA conducts mussel surveys across its district in order to inform the management of this fishery. Data is collected on the percentage cover of a bed in mussel and other habitat types. The relative proportion of different size classes of mussel is also recorded. Samples are often taken for production of length frequency tables. Mussel beds are usually surveyed irregularly, with an adaptive survey strategy focusing on those beds that are very important commercially or have specific issues around their management.西北近岸渔业与保护局（NWIFCA）在其管辖区域内开展贻贝资源调查，旨在为该渔业的管理提供决策依据。调查会采集贻贝床及其他生境类型的覆盖占比数据，同时记录不同规格等级贻贝的相对占比情况。通常还会采集样本以构建体长频率统计表。贻贝床调查通常采用非定期方式，并采用适应性调查策略，重点关注商业价值极高或存在特定管理问题的贻贝床。
