Date: September 21, 2016location: forest near York Universitydata collected by two York University Undergraduate studentsmethods:random number generator was used to pick a random location within the forest. Between numbers 1-4 generator picked 3 which was assigned as North and between numbers 1-10 generator picked 7 that meant take 7 steps towards north. walking from the edge of woodlot to the center, the distance between each encountered adult tree and their diameter at breast height was measured using transect measuring tapes and regular measuring tapes. in addition, the condition of each adult tree was recorded.
