Cell lines from multiple human cancer backgrounds were cultured with 20uM AdipoRon for 24 hours in order to determine the effect of AdipoRon on the human transcriptome. In addition, cell lines lacking either the adiponectin receptor 1 (ADIPOR1-/-) or adiponectin receptor 2 (ADIPOR2-/-) were treated with 20uM AdipoRon for 24 hour and analyzed using RNAseq in order to better understand the signaling pathway by which AdipoRon elicits a signal through either receptor.
