Genome analysis of American mink fur colour variations

The fur colour of American mink (Neovison vison) involves over 35 traits, most of them haven't been linked to specific genes yet. Here, we performed the whole genome sequencing for American mink breeds with standard dark brown (+/+), Silverblue (p/p), Hedlund white (h/h), Moyle (m/m), Violet (a/a m/m /p/p), Shadow Silverblue (Sh/+ p/p), Black crystal (Cr/Cr), and Royal pastel (b/b) phenotypes.
