Zanthoxylum transcriptome

As an ancient economic crop in Asia, Zanthoxylum satisfies people’s aromatic taste and has immense medicinal value. However, a lack of genomic information and genetic markers has a limitation for genetic improvement of the plant species in this genus and their close relatives.The Zanthoxylum reference transcriptome provides crucial information for the study of not only the evolution of the Zanthoxylum genus but also, the Rutaceae family, and it will facilitate the establishment of more effective Zanthoxylum breeding programs.
