This page provides data for the 3rd Grade Reading Level Proficiency performance measure. Reading proficiency by third grade is a crucial milestone in a child's future academic and life success. The third-grade reading level is a strong predictor of high school graduation and college attendance. Data is representative of first through third-grade Tempe students who participate in the Experience Corps intervention and meet or exceed national benchmarks for accuracy and fluency in their reading level.
