Library World Map: a map to support solidarity and sharing between librarians!

The France librarian association (Association des bibliothécaires de France - ABF) has been creating a collaborative library map available in French and English. The map presents libraries geolocalized one by one, and not statistics about all libraries in every country. We know that such maps are already existing. Thanks to this poster, we want to get in touch with the creators of this others maps and consider how we can murge maps to offer a complete tools in the 7 officials langages of IFLA. Aims of this map are to be: - an invitation for traveling and discovering libraries of all kind, around the world - an easy way to meet and share with others librarians - a way to collect very interesting experiences such as a library in a station (Haarlem, The Netherlands), in a church (Quebec), reading in hairdressing salon (National Library of Ivory Coast), etc. - an advocacy tool for easier discussions between librarians and politicians, showing how libraries are part of society and democratic process. - an interactive tool to make visible the world of libraries to our users.
