Cannabis microbiome evolution in culture

We demonstrate that popular total yeast and mold culturing-based testing platforms used for Cannabis microbial safety testing are non-specific in their quantitative estimation of colony forming units (CFU) per gram and may be triggered by beneficial bacteria. We also demonstrate the failure of these platforms to detect pathogenic risks like Aspergillus and C. botulinum found at high frequency with molecular based testing methods.
