16S rRNA sequencing of cloacal, oral, and tank water microbiota of loggerhead sea turtles. TurtleBIOME oral cloacal microbiota

This dataset is related to the publication Filek et al. 2021 "Characterization of oral and cloacal microbial communities of wild and rehabilitated loggerhead sea turtles (Caretta caretta)" The study includes 16S rRNA gene sequences (V3-V4 region) of incidentally caught loggerhead sea turtles' oral and cloacal microbial communities, as well as tank water samples (11 oral, 15 cloacal, and 3 tank water samples). The samples were sequenced by Illumina MiSeq v2 (2x250 bp PE).
