资源简介:
This dataset contains raw data produced as a result of the scientific project entitled "Unveiling true biodeterioration potential of aerial algae colonizing building materials in a temperate climate zone via integrated morphological, molecular, physiological and metabolomics approach" - part two.
These studies investigate two important aspects of the deterioration process of mineral building materials (brick and plaster). (1) The aerial green algal metabolome after their growth for 1 year on brick and plaster under laboratory and environmental conditions, with particular attention to the presence of degradative metabolites; (2) The changes in physical and mechanical properties of brick and plaster as a result of algal biofilm growth.
In this research five algal strains: PNK010 - Chloroidium saccharophilum; PNK013 - Klebsormidium nitens; PNK015 - Bracteacoccus minor; PNK021 - Diplosphaera chodatii; PNK040 - Stichoccus bacillaris were grown on plaster substrates (P or T) and brick substrates (B or C) together with the uninoculated control samples (C or Contr) in laboratory conditions (L) and in the environment (E). In files, symbols of the strains are used (PNK...) and the letters indicating substrate type (P/T and B/C) and growing site conditions (L and E).
The metabolic section of the project contains following files:
1 - UHPLC_MS_Positive Ion Mode.xlsx; this is the set of all metabolites detected using the positive ion mode method in metabolomic analysis in all investigated samples, without any process of dataset cleaning;2 - UHPLC_MS_Negative Ion Mode.xlsx; this is the set of all metabolites detected using the positive ion mode method in metabolomic analysis in all investigated samples, without any process of dataset cleaning;
3- Processed metabolic data.xlsx; this set of tables contains list of processed metabolites, the results of the metabolic pathway analyses and results of the enrichemnt analyses. Data were prepared as follows: "Each strain was evaluated against its corresponding control. Metabolites were included if their abundance in at least one strain was more than twofold higher than in the control (FC > 2). This threshold was applied to account for inter-strain variability, as individual strains may produce distinct metabolites; thus, a single marked increase relative to the control was considered biologically relevant. Compounds were excluded only if none of the strains showed elevated levels compared to the control and if their abundance was consistently greater in most control samples. Such signals were interpreted as background derived from the substrate and were omitted from further analysis."
The material properties section contains:
the .xlsx files with raw data for pH changes, water absorption changes, comprehensive strength and vapour permability changes;
pdf files with reports of adhesion measurements;
set of .mes files exhibiting the analysis of colour changes;
set of files with fluorescence measurements of algal biofilm on experimental substrates.
