Gene expression profiles in the tarsal joints of DBA/1 mice whit collagen-induced arthritis that performed treadmill exercise in the post-arthritic phase vs. those who were not exercised were compared. Exercise induced the upregulation of inflammatory genes and signaling pathways. Overall design: Pools of total RNA were made per study group (eight mouse per group): CIA exercised mice (test group) and CIA non-exercised mice (reference).
